gibson 7 string guitar
Why am i experiencing fret buzz when I do pull offs on my guitar?

I dont understand it, i just got my guitar set up a few days ago. I try to pull off from the 7th fret to the 6th 5th or 4th(all on the D string)… and an ugly fret fuzz/buzz comes out. Im in standard tuning. The guitar is a gibson les paul studio black with gold hdwr.

Ok dude. Here is the score. If you have the original Gibson Les Paul Studio, they have the the nickel & silver alloy frets. If the other strings play well at the 7th fret with the same pull-off, then CHANGE the string first.
Secondly, if that doesn’t solve the problem, raise the saddle for that particular string. Just raise it slightly.

If you want to make sure that the neck is well adjusted, place one finger on the 6th string at the 1st fret and, one finger at the 15th fret. If you look at the 7th fret position, their should be a gap of about 1/16th of an inch between string and fingerboard. If it touches, then look no further.
YOu would need to tell the guy to loosen the truss rod 1/4 counter-clockwise and you WON’T have any more buzz. If their is a slight gap, then, your problem is the string or the saddle.

edit….Whassup Geremy florida guitar player ??
