Gibson Les Paul Traditional VS. ESP Eclipse ll?
What should i invest my money in…a les paul that is unchambered with 57′ classics or a ESP eclipse with Seymour duncan JB 59′s in it…help!!!!!! My style is classic rock with anything from hendrix to zeppelin to AC/DC to Cream to even a little bit of Van Halen or Black Sabbath thrown in.
Without a doubt the Traditional. I have a couple of Pauls with the ’57 classics (and one with classic plus) and wow… like a choir of angels. I like the fact that they have the Traditionals available because they are chambering the Standards and Customs now. Thankfully my standards are from the 90′s and earlier so they’re not chambered. It will give you much better tone than the ESP, which is rather lightweight. 59′s are OK, but not as good as Gibson’s ’57′s.
