gibson 335 pickup

What guitars/pickups can produce better feedback?
I am looking to buy a hollowbody guitar, or semi hollow. Either a Gretsch or Gibson es 335 or es 175. Witch pickups can produce a better feedback.. and not like metal, just like a warm feedback, that would fit in more acoustic or soft rook
plus, with a hollowbody can I get the screeching feedback without standing directly infront of the amp, like 3-5 meters away?
At the moment I have a cheap Squire Telecaster and a Traynor DG-30 amp with gain and channel 2 volume both at 10, guitar volume at 10, I have to be so close that my strings just barely stay clear of the amp, a buddy of mine has a gretsch 5122 and he gets massive feedback from the other end of the room
Well, you don’t want to do MORE to induce feedback in a semi or hollowbody, because it becomes uncontrollable. That’s why the manufacturers spent years trying to figure out how to reduce it before they invented humbuckers. Your best bet if you want some feedback but not as lot is to get a semi or hollow that has Alnico P-90′s (or whatever brand.. just stick with P-90′s). I’d go with an Epiphone Casino. I had one and the feedback was warm and controllable. Since you are in the ES335 price range, get an Epi Casino ELITIST series… Gibson quality. But really… the best guitar for feedback is a Strat with vintage pre-1969 pickups. Fender Custom shops makes the pickups still. They are like 79 dollars. However, your amp and your settings have a lot more to do with feedback than does your guitar.
