New Gibson es-339 or a es-335?

Im savin up for a new guitar and have enough for one of these…do u think i should wait a while and see how the es 339 does
I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 339 too. I want to try it to compare against the 335. I love 335′s so I’m hoping that this new model will have some of the same tone and vibe that I love with the 335.
As it looks, the 339 is a smaller and lighter version of the 335, but with similar tonal features and playability. (at least that’s what the gibson website says).
If the weight and size of the 335 are not an issue for you then you should find the best 335 you can find for the best price and get it. The ES-339 is a little less expensive but when you’re spending close to $2K on a guitar, a couple hundred dollars shouldn’t prevent you from getting the one you really want.
But if you’re like me, and you love the ES-335 tone but are looking for a smaller/lighter version then this new model could be just what the doctor ordered.
