gibson 1275 double neck
How much would it cost to repair this guitar, and how much could i sell it for?
I have a 1994 Gibson EDS 1275 Double Neck, i have had it for a little over 4 years, but i don’t play guitar much anymore. The guitar is a little beat up, i got it really cheap because the back of the necks are sanded. I have always wanted to get it fixed, but i never really had the time or the money, or really even the motivation. I am thinking about selling it because it is a great guitar and i dont deserve it anymore.
How much would it cost to repaint the necks, if i can even repaint?
If i can get it fixed up, how much could i sell it for?
If it cant be repainted, how much could i sell it for?
Also i still have alot of the paper work from the factory, including a tag that says something about it being a Gibson historic collection reissue or something like that, and an old Gibson Gold Warranty brochure.
Contact a good high end guitar shop like Mandolin Brothers or Elderly Instruments and discuss it with them. They both have master luthiers in their shop who can handle restorations like yours. Plus they can give you an estimate for both the cost of the repair and the eventual selling price.
