Les Paul Studio? Is it better than the fender start?

I have a les paul studio vintage mahogany and on Monday I'm going to pay another 200 to get the best finish … Now I'm wondering … fenders would be a start or sg be a better choice … im going to try, but I ask for opinions .. I love them Paul and Strats and if I could only have them both … anyway … if anyone can explain the pros and cons of each guitar and the styles of music from Les Paul Studio sg and start and better cover … It is also better than they are finished for the les paul studio? Please help … Please give me an honest review might be a type I fender. flusters this just my mind … : P
