fender vintage precision bass
How much would a Vintage 1957′ Fender Precision bass be worth?

How much would it be worth. I have all the original papers from 1957. The serial number has been checked. It is 100% authentic. Plays like a dream. You can even see the wear from the belt buckles in the 70′s.

from what I see right now reissues are going for 1-2000 so an honest estimate is 4-8 thousand depending on condition. I would watch ebay for basses from that era (give or take 2 years) and see what they are going for pay close attention to what they sell for not the buy it now prices. You could list your bass a hundred times for 12000 but if no one buys it whats the point. If you need to sell now my suggestion is list it on ebay with a 1000 opening bid and a 4000 reserve. See where it goes if you don’t like how the bidding is going you can end the auction if there is more than 24 hours to go but be forewarned the most intense bidding is in the last 15 minutes. If I could afford it I would be trying to get the bass from you myself Good Luck
