fender vintage hot rod 62

This electric guitar represents a fantastic effort by Fender to replicate the 1962 Stratocaster along with adding a few upgrades thanks to the technology available in today’s manufacturing. The body of a Strat is so well shaped that it feels very natural to hold and play and on this guitar it’s made of Alder. The neck is a one piece bolt on with a C shape profile, these are a little thicker than others and a true replication of earlier Fender Strat models.
A nitrocellulose lacquer finish covers both the body and neck which is said to allow the guitar more room to breath which in turn will enhance its tonal quality. Pickup wise the guitar is equipped with 3 American Vintage single coils which are a special design by Fender and feature some great upgrades. They will deliver a wide ranging palette of sounds from your amplifier with a reverse wound middle pickup too.
The tremolo system is a copy of the vintage tremolo from the original models and there are Gotoh machine heads and the normal three ply scratch plate, all in keeping with the classic looks of an early Fender Stratocaster. With the guitars purchase you’ll also get a deluxe brown hard shell case, a quality strap, a guitar lead and a kit to update to a 5 position pickup selector.
This is a great sounding guitar which is well made by Fender in the U.S. One great place to go for more information and to actually hear it being played by others is to do a search on You Tube for it.
