What guitar would you recommend?

I've been using my epiphone sg special type beat for 5 years and may eventually buy a new guitar. Im looking to spend around a large .. I'm looking for guitar that sounds pretty nice and comfortable. i play jazz, but playing in a punk rock band. ive been searching the Godins, ive also been discussing the fender tele Thinline series too. What do you recommend?
