How did that sound to Motown?
Would love to hear how guitarists matter Hitsville USA old is your tone. I'm talking like the temptations of the era songs, and stuff like that, you know, motown. I think probably used Fender Strats with Fender twin or super reverb or something. If you know what type of equipment configurations and ran it would be great if you enlighten me please! Thanks
This is a start …. I've been able to unearth Dennis Coffey-Start and Firebird Marv Tarplin-Les Paul, and Robert White-L5 ES335 and ES335 Firebird Eddie Willis Joe Messina and Tele-L5 with flatwounds Jazzmaster neck. Bit of a surprise to see the Gibson's use! Could not find references to amplifiers, but I agree, probably Defenders Hope this helps …… MOTOWN LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!
