fender stratocaster sunburst

Guitar Question?
I’m planing on buying a Fender Stratocaster (Brown Sunburst w/ Rosewood fretboard $434.99) from musiciansfriend.com. I have two questions… Do you know which country they’re manufactured in? (American made?, Mexican Made?) Also, how easy would it be for me to switch the “whammy” (tremolo) bar from right to left handed? To the kind of setup Stevie Ray Vaughan had on “Lenny”? Thank you
If it was american made, it would say american series. Those usually run you about $900 or more, but the one you are talking about is made in mexico.
The hole in the body for the wilkinson bridge is longer on one side to accomodate the area where the whammy bar screws in.

If you wanted to change over to a left-handed tremelo, you would have to make the opposide side of the hole larger for the bridge to fit, but it would still leave the other side with a hole that would show when the bridge is switched over.
It would be much easier to buy the SRV signature model, but 3x the price.
