Mexico is cheaper, but apparently really bad quality. or should I go for Gibson SG in place? dude "tank" does not speak if ur not even going to help. do u even no information about the guitars? thx every1 except for "tank" lol. ill maybe help save for a vintage 1980 but idk if I can afford it-im only 14! true rite now I have a Epiphone Les Paul and yes i no its bad thats yi wanted to start now

Hello! From your question and related comments, shows that are very aware of quality issues among the Japanese in America, and guitars of Mexico. Of course, the Fender Stratocaster and Gibson SG are two completely different animals, and in fact can not be compared as equivalent options (well, at least, are the two guitars!). If you plan to keep the instrument to always buy better quality guitar you can afford, and adjust the electronics (pickups, volume / tone controls, distribution, hardware, etc) to match with the sound of love (which change over time, I think). Would you be financially better to buy an instrument's quality, but finding one that is in very good to excellent. What kind of music do you want to play? If you are intending to use a lot of saturation and feedback on your style of music, pickups Gibson humbucking will cause the least noise problems that the factory-only population-coils in the Fender, however, the Stratocaster will (probably) offer greater flexibility in the sound than the SG. Are you willing to work a little harder to play guitar? With a length scale throughout the Fender Stratocaster (distance between the nut and the bridge is 25 ½ inches in front of the Gibson 24 ¾ inch), the force needed to fret is slightly higher, and be a little harder play. Try the guitars (visit your local Guitar Center) before making a decision, if you're used to playing a Les Paul style guitar, the Stratocaster can be a rude awakening! As die-hard Stratocaster player, I can not extol the virtues of Gibson instruments (although I have owned and played two guitars Les Paul and SG, instruments were very nice), but well set, the Stratocaster gives you a solid and reliable performance (perhaps with a finger a few calluses, only play less painful!). Hope this helps! Best Regards, Dana
