Fender Stratocaster Humbucker Replacement?

If I were to buy a HSS set up strat would it be possible to swap the humbucker at the bridge for a slanted single coil?

Yeah you would need to replace the pickguard and possibly have to re-rout the pickup cavity.

BUT, I have another solution…

Talk to a guitar tech about installing a toggle switch to split the humbucker into a single coil.

That way you’d have the best of both worlds with the flick of a switch.

Any guitar tech worth his salt, should be able to do the entire thing for under $100. It’s a simple mod.
