Which guitar neck is the thinnest?

OK…there are the 3 different kinds of necks on a guitar…the U-shaped the V-shaped and the C-shaped…which one is the thinnest and slimmest…also…the “fretboard radius”…what is that exactly…ex: 12” fretboard radius….what I’m looking for on a Fender Stratocaster…is a 60′s headstock…and a slim-tapered neck…one that is easy to get around…and a long one too (22 frets)
thanks!

I have a custom Telecaster with a C shape neck…and that is the slimmest guitar neck I’ve seen yet.

For fretboard radius, the bigger the number, the flatter the fretboard. That number is the arc the fretboard is sanded to. The board can be seen as an arc…part of a cylinder, and the number means the number of inches the center point is away from the fret. The lower the number, the easier it is to wrap your paw around the neck…but it makes it harder to bend the strings.

You’ll find Fender has tons of offerings for guitar necks…and you can even find ones from the custom shop…like I did without spending too much.

If you get too particular about the details, you’ll need to have the custom shop specifically build you something…and that’ll cost you.
