I had always wanted a red version of its / Black / white Frankenstrat guitar. Recently, Fender has made a beautiful replica of this guitar at a whopping $ 25,000 for the guitar and there was no way I could pay. The only recourse I had was the construction of a self. Luckily for me, there are all kinds of Internet sites dedicated to this guitar.

My first task was to find a home style guitar body. Once again, he was able to find a website that sells replicas of the body style I needed. The next step was find a neck of the guitar and the hardware and electronics to complete the project. Once again, I turned to the Internet to find cheap but quality hardware and electronics.

Once I had all the pieces I needed, I decided to paint the body of the guitar. For this project, I used the Krylon spray. The reason for this choice was because the original guitar was painted with cheap spray paint, and I wanted to look like the original.

First, body painted black, and then I used 3M fine line tape strip and body painted white guitar body. After removing the tape, I had to re-stripe the body Tape 3M finer line to recreate the final appearance of the original. When he finished, he had a close replica to the original.

After painting dry, I attached the neck, adding hardware and tremolo, locking nut and adjustment pins. Then I had to add the pill and other electronic devices to complete the guitar.

After all the hardware and electronics were installed, I had my own Frankenstrat. I am very proud guitar, and I saved about $ 24,500.
