How can I tell if my Fender strat is made in USA?
I just bought a 1996 Fender 50th Anniversary Eric Clapton Signature Series Stratocaster today. I was told it was made in America, but when I took it home I noticed there’s no mention anywhere on the guitar of where it was made. I definitely paid a price that would be charged for a USA Strat, so I want to be sure. Can I tell by looking at the serial number?

Can I tell by looking at the serial number? It’s a serial number beginning with SN6_ _ _ _ _ _. I tried to look it up on Fender’s website, but there wasn’t a way to search serial numbers. Any tips?
another clue: the guitar has 3 Lace Sensor Gold pickups…
Most always its on da guitar! if its not (E)mail Fender and ask ‘em.
