Fender Stratocaster Question?

The cable goes into the input of the guitar easily but it is difficult to take out. Am i using the wrong cable (it’s the same I use for my bass) or is it a faulty input. help.

There is a metal piece that is bent to squeeze the cable thus holding it inside the guitar. Stop messing with it and it will be fine. It should be held in there on its own. Otherwise the cable would fall out from the slightest tug or gravity alone. You will see that over time this mechanism will wear down and eventually you may need to replace the jack because of it.
