what bass guitar should i get?

i’m thinking of starting to learn bass, i have a price range of around £100-£200 i have been looking at fenders and people have reviewed them as very good. i’ve got an electric guitar (fender bullet strat) and i’m becoming quite bored of it so i want something different. any clues?

I’ve played Fender jazz and precision basses.The precision will give you a good bass ‘punch’,and the feel
of the neck is comfortable.
In your price range you may be able to find a used precision in good shape.Match it up w/an Ampeg SVT model amp and you’ll be able to literally rock the foundation of a hi-rise building!!
