Should I buy a guitar from the Internet? If so, which?

I do not know if this is the place to ask, but I'll ask anyway. I'm playing a Fender Squier Start now, and my guitar teacher says that over time will have to buy a better guitar. Now to my question: I live in Isreal, and it is difficult to find a good guitar (I'm left-handed does not help either.) So I order online? Do you think that the guitar has a chance to survive the journey to the final of the U.S.? Now another thing, my teacher recommened a Fender Start, but I'm not sure it would be the perfect choice for me. I like the Rock, metal, etc. I think the guitar should I get? Please answer, it is REALLY important! PS If this is not the right place to ask, please tell me. I am a little new here:)

I would stay away from sites like e-bay and similar sites, simply because I would not trust buying a used guitar through Internet, if damaged, it is less likely to be able to get a refund, and the risk of damage is higher when buying this way. If you have to buy Internet, I would suggest buying a new trusted site that sells one. Fender has its own website at fender.com, so I would start there, and you are considering buying a Fender (guitar great). Thus, if there is anything wrong with that, you have a better chance of a refund, or at least get it replaced. If packaged properly, it must be good for transport, and I imagine people from Fender would package their products properly.
