What the difference between the Fender standard HSS strat and the Fender standard strat??????? thanks

I play classic rock and rock and also stuff like Nickelback, Three days grace, 3 doors down

The Standard Strat has 3 single coil pickups. The HSS strat has 2 single coil pickups and one humbucker at the bridge pickup. The Fat Strat (HSS) gives more power, eliminates some hum, and has a very different sound than the SSS. I haven’t played any of your listed music on an HSS, but I h ave played an HSS, and I didn’t really like the sound of it much. I really prefer the sound of an SSS, it’s much more mellow and colorful.

I’d definitely go down to a store and try both out though, if you haven’t already. There’s nothing like comparing two of them back to back and finding out which you like more.
