Mexico Fender Start?

I just bought a Mexican Fender Start, with 2 single coil pickups and a humbucker pickup. My friend keeps saying that sucks, I have it for the price of 590 Canadian dollars, is it really suck? Thank you.

I could not say much without having played it .. but most of the Mexican defense was pretty darn solid and some even say they are kept in tune, even better than the American made fenders .. Your friend can Strats do and not to start.
