Is it OK to leave a Fender Strat unstrung and whats a good oil to use on the fretboard?
The is for transporting and storage. This also refers to a acoustic guitar.
ALWAYS keep strings on your guitar with very slight tension. The truss rod inside the neck places the neck under tension…trying to bend the neck backwards while the strings try to bend it forward. Getting rid of the strings will allow the truss rod to win the “fight” and your neck will end up back bowed… not a good thing.
Use lemon oil on the fretboard..no Pledge or furniture polish.
