fender strat 50th anniversary

Re-fretting my strat?
i’ve got a ninety-five fender strat (50th anniversary) and it needs a re-fretting. I live in Queensland, Australia and i need to know where i’d have to send it and how much it’s gonna cost me to get a re-fretting. I was thinking of getting those frets that don’t ware down for ages (can’t remember what material they are – i think it’s titanium). Please give me links, info, general knowledge – anything. Thanks
You’re thinking of stainless steel. You might be able to get away with a cheaper alternative, having the existing frets “re-shaped.” All they do is sand them back to round again with a special sanding block (they do become a little smaller), and if they know what they’re doing, they wont even scratch the fretboard. This is a temporary fix, though. Contact Fender’s head custom/repair shop, they might be able to recommend someone close to you who can perform either job!
