fender standard stratocaster hss electric guitar with floyd rose
What’s the difference between a regular tremolo and a floyd rose tremolo? (On Fender Strat)?
I’m sure the kind of guitar the tremolo is on won’t matter, but what’s the differences between a floyd rose and standard tremolo (like the one found on a stock fender)? Thanks in advance.
And 10 points to the one with most differences pointed out.
Here’s the Fender with the Floyd Rose Licensed Tremolo

And here’s a standard Fender HSS.

With the Rose, you can go both up and down in pitch. The standard is down only. Depending on the style of Rose, some have string locks on the nut and micro tuners on the bridge. THe MAJOR difference is the Floyd Rose can be a real PITA to set up. THe standard is pretty simple.
