Jazz Bass pick guards?
I want to buy the American standard jazz bass by fender in Olympic white but don’t have the money so I’m just gonna get the standard J-Bass in White but I don’t like the white pick guard so is it possible to buy an American Standard tort one and replace the white one on the standard?
Heya mate, I did a similar job on my squier precision (now has a yummy mirror pickguard). There may be issues in trying to fit a scratch plate that isnt totally made for you bass. I would consider getting one custom made (ill give you a web address below). I’ll also compliment your choice of styling, because im fortunate enough to have a Jazz is that colour scheme, and my god is it beautiful!

As you can see you can send them a tracing (or the actual) of your pickguard. Mine was fine just required a little sanding. Hunt around the website for a FAQ. Hope this helps, and hope you bass looks stunning with its lovely mod!
