Should I get a new guitar or a new amp?

I have been playing for two years, and currently my guitar is a fender squire affinity series, and my amp is a line 6 spider III 15 watt. I am looking for a way to improve the sound. I was thinking if I get a new guitar it will be a MIM fender stratocaster, and if I get a new amp it will be a fender super champ xd. Thanks!

It depends on your style of music. If you are currently playing a strat style guitar I will assume you probably play blues or something like that. If that’s the case, I would probably purchase a new tube amp. I would stay away from amps with features like voicing control knobs. If you’re set on a fender I would try maybe a blues jr. But there are a lot better guitars and amps out there besides fender. Their mid level stuff is usually overpriced.
