What electric guitars are good for beginners?

- bare beginner, no experience (just tiny bit of piano)

- not worrying about style yet – gonna start with electric, not acoustic

- im looking at Squire Strat Affinity HSS from ‘starter’ pack. thinking of stuff from >>fender<<, ibanez, maybe gibson

- amps to match guitar? guitar tuners?

- shud i get it in a starter pack or buy them separately?

- price range of about $100 - $450

- any good stores? preferably NOT internet. im going to a guitar center<<<

even though you want a relatively cheap ( $450 ) electric guitar now, u may want to consider saving up some money first and buy yourself a nicer one that will last you longer as u progress, because if you get a super cheap one now, you are going to want a better one later. so in a way, it is better to wait so that you are not spending say $1000 total from a $400 guitar now and a $600 guitar later.

i would look at the Epiphone Les Paul Standard. u can get it for around $500 i think. check out Guitar Center’s website to check the price

Yes, guitar center is a good place to go.

i would get an electric tuner until you learn to do it by ear and if u dont get a starter kit, u will have to buy an amp. just get a small one, if u want it loud, just turn up the volume

um, when u say gibson, you are talking at least $1500. BUT the epiphone is made by gibson technically, just a little lower end, but good, yet cheaper version.

if you know anyone with an acoustic, ask if you can try it out. i know u want an electric, but it is nice sometimes to see what the other side feels like

little groove and soloing with my squier affinity strat
