fender squier vintage modified jazz

Which bass should I get?
I’m looking to get an electric bass at a moderate price and a cool design. I’ve found 2 so far, the Ibanez GSR200FM 4-String Bass Guitar and the Squier by Fender Vintage Modified ’70s Jazz Bass Natural.
I am not a beginner bassist, rather have been playing a short-scale and am looking to upgrade. If you can think of any basses other than these two that fit what I’m looking for, please let me know.

I just found another- the Dean Custom Zone 4-String Bass Guitar(Nuclear Green)
Please realize I’m not asking you what looks the best, but what will play the best for the price.
Well, if you’re going for sound rather than looks, I wouldn’t get Dean =P …their most expensive basses are decent, but below that, it’s awful.
The Ibanez GSR200 and the Squier Vintage Modified Jazz are BOTH really good for their price. They are sort of “starter instruments” though, so know that the quality won’t be amazing (though FAR from bad) – I’d say you can’t go wrong with either of those.
Though, if you want more options, check these out:
Squier Affinity P Bass
Squier Affinity J Bass
Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass
Peavey Millenium
Peavey Milestone 5
Yamaha RBX170
Ibanez GAXB
Warwick Rockbass Streamer Standard
OLP MM2
Washburn XB100
The most important thing though is to PLAY the bass before you buy it. Go to a music store with a few basses in mind and play them; figure out which one feels the best, sounds the best, suits your needs the best – then you’ll be set =)
Hope that helps, and you find what you need.
Cheers! ^_^
