fender squier starter
Starter electric guitar?
ok um ,,. im new to the whole electric guitar world and i want to start to play. I was thinking of getting a Fender Squier affinity strat from best buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Squier%26%23174%3B+-+Affinity+Strat%26%23174%3B+Pack+-+Blue/8382715.p?id=1213399749367&skuId=8382715 but when i was looking up stuff some people said not to buy guitars from department stores. and im in a $300 budget for everything encluding the amp oh yah and its for christmas. so if theres any others in mind then let me know please. or you can just tell me if the fender squier is the way to go

sooner or later your going to need to go to a guitar shop anyway, so why not buy your guitar there, there prices are usually the same or better, plus they wont try and sell you a TV or PC while your there and actually know what there talking about when it comes to guitars, last thing you need is a floor worker at Best Buy telling you the diffrences in guitars when she has never even held one unless it was still in the box, Savy? and Squire, Ugh, well I guess they serve there purpose, beginners guitars, some like them I guess, but you should go to a shop anyway, might have a special on the Ibanez Jam packs going on this time of year, Xmas and all that.
