I NEED HELP! Mustang headers dont fit?
i Own a 1965 mustang, but it had a wimpy straight 6 cylinder engine in it. i found a 1993 5.0L 302 V8, the engine fits in the car. i just recently bought a pair of hedman shorty headers for a 93 mustang 5.0L engine so i could complete my car, but the headers are about an inch too long and hit the inside of the fender well where the control arm is.. I NEED OPTIONS!!! i want them to fit, but wishing isn’t enough.. i already thought i could:
1) cut them up and re-weld them myself
2) pay a pro to do #1
3)dent or cut the fender well to get more clearance
4) dent the header tubes to get the clearance
5) just get new headers or
6) make my own custom headers (not likely)
let me know if any of you gear heads had this trouble before and let me know what you did to fix it.. thank you in advance for your advice.
get the headrers for YOUR….CAR and ENGINE if they still make em.
