Solid state, tube, or hybrid bass amp?

Pros and Cons? Which should I get – I own a fender deluxe jazz V (5 string). Need good tone and low end for under 600 dollars.

My opinion is that nothing beats an old-school, down and dirty tube amp– With a Jazz bass you ought to get a real nice, warm and woody sound.

No doubt digital amps can reproduce the sound to a degree, but if you can find one in your price range I’d be all over it…

My dream is to someday to be able to afford a Gibson EB-3 with an Ampeg V4B.
