the addition of treble and bass knobs for a guitar amp?

Looking to build my own guitar amp, and I actually just want to have 3 or 4 basic controls, volume, bass, treble and a half maybe. I want to build this amp, I fully understand and know how to build, I just want a little more. I have looked high and low for an amplifier that does just this and I have tried to keep costs down, but I can only find one.
