Strats and Pickups…?

Ok so I have a Fender Strat n I am thinking of putting new pickups in it, mostly because I get a lot of Mains Hum when playing. I was going to get Seymour Duncan Hot Rails but when I went 2 Guitar Center I asked if I could test them out or return them or if there were any guitars that had these pickups (or anything close to them) in the store to try out and they said NO. I originally didn’t want 2 put in Fender Noiseless Single Coils because although they get rid of the Mains Hum I like the Humbucker sound better. I was thinking of cuttin up my pickguard and putting in some real humbuckers ( that way I could try them out and see if I like them before buying them), should I do that??? If not what options do i HAVE??

Seymour Duncan Hotrails Are a absolutely fantastic pick-up. I completely recommend them. They have a great, high output tone and a coil-tap if you want to turn them back into single coils.

Get the hotrails. You would actually have to cut a whole in your guitar to fit the humbuckers.
