Some suggestions … Probably could get a low end Fender 300 pounds, if not, try some of the series Squier Vintage Modified (Jazz or Precision) – are widely held as the best products Squier, and will not empty your wallet too. You can also check out Ibanez – SR its low are quite nice and are very fast, comfortable neck. The top come with Bartolini active pickups, which are some of the best you can find. For £ 300, you may be able to get a SR500 SR400 o. And if you sound like a GM, but can not afford it, check out their low ATK – the neck is a bit more substantial than the neck of RS, and comes with a single triple coil pickup. You can get a ton of tones from it, and is the closest sound that can reach a low MM short of buying one. Schecter also has some nice low fit in its price range, check out one of the low Stiletto. A warning though, some have their necks low lacquer finish that some bears do not like, so the first attempt. The most important thing is to play before you buy. Head to a music store with a few in mind, and play each one for a while. Find what you are feeling better, sounds better and suits your needs the best, then you should be set =) I hope you find what you want! Cheers ^ _ ^
