Can I install humbuckers on a Fender Jazzmaster without re-routing the body?

I noticed that the pickups are pretty big on jazzmasters, would it work to install a humbucker in the bridge, or is this ill-advised?

If you’re cool with the soldering and all, it’s just a matter of clearances. There are different sizes and configurations of humbuckers available for the transplant. You just need to know what space you have in your beast under the pick guard and the rest is all spec sheets.
