I need your opinion!!?

im am a bass player of about 6 months now and have been getting by with a low quality hand-me down bass that my friend gave me and i am going to be buying a new bass soon. i will probably be buying a fender jazz bass i already looked at reviews on several basses and i want to get a fender squier affinty jazz bass, and i know its not exactly the best bass out there but im on kind of a budget of about 250 dollars. also when i buy this bass i am going to be getting fender bridge and neck pickup covers. my question is what color should i get or more importantly what color goes best with the pickup covers. i have had my eye on the mettallic red color but im still not sure. anyones opinions would be greatly appreciated.

red is nice with black pickups
if you have metal covers though, I dunno I like green or black.
