before the answer police troll this, sorry if it’s in the wrong place.

hey there, i own a 1987 fender jbs. its got a candy apple red body and black headstock with black hardware. was thinking about painting the neck black, as at the moment its a maple colour.

any ideas on what pain, how many coats etc? cheers.
LOL no of course im not painting the fret board. just the neck. its not a question of going out an buying another one they’re rare as anything.

I have a 1966 Fender Jazz, with a rosewood fingerboard. I was really stupid and painted the body in the early 1970′s.
In hindsight I wish I hadn’t been so silly.

I also have a rare 1968 Fender Telecaster bass. Fender only produced these for a few years starting in 1967, and through the 70′s for awhile. Thank God I never f*cked with that!

I would recommend leaving your bass stock.
