What is a good bass distortion pedal?
I’m looking for the sound that John Wetton used when recording with King Crimson. Most of the pedals I have used sound too synthy and silly. I want a good, thick, heavy sound for my Fender 5-string Jazz bass.
That was a great sound. Try a Boss bass overdrive. I think the model is ODB-3. It’s great. Sounds range from mild overdrive to really nasty dirt. You can blend the direct & distorted signal. Check it out. Sounds great with my Jazz basses.
