Which bass should I get?
I’m a intermediate bass player, and I want to get a Fender bass but I can’t decide which one…(Links at bottom, Jaguar then P Bass ) The band I’m in will play more of a P Bass sound, but I already have an Ibanez which is great for us. The Jaguar is more of a J Bass, but it can get so many more sounds….which do you think I should get (both same price) and if you have any other suggestions for a bass, say it.

That’s a toughy. How long do you think you’re current band will last?
Buy the bass that you think will best suit YOU. You can always just turn the bridge pickup off on the Jaguar and fiddle with it till you get a P bass sound.
Or, if you’re good with your hands and have some extra cash, cut a P bass pickup slot into the place where the neck pickup is on the Jaguar. (Recommend you get someone in a shop to do it though.)
