Help to fix my guitar?
So one of those occasions, once in a lifetime I found a garage sale while I was leaving my friends house and smoke a cigarette, there was a competition Fender Mustang for sale, I think it's a 69 'through Wikipedia is two dashes on the back the body looks like someone dropped something on it, I'm considering sanding the paint down and paying a professional to paint over it my concern is that this lower the value of the guitar, it would be great to show some people some 10 years from now
If a color with a matching head and body (69 to 71/72) may have some value. However, these guitars are not really collectible. Guitars fresh and fun, but really not worth much or collection. In 25-50 years? Maybe? And in that case, anything made of a guitar with any value below the value – to repaint and / or change the hardware in particular. I would not do anything with the guitar if the rear. It's just an aesthetic thing … Leave things as they are
