when soldering samarium Cobalt noiseless pickups to a fender stratocaster…?

I’m currently doing a guitar project and need help. do the black wires get soldered directly to the pot, as shown in the picture diagram in the box the pickups came in?

Hi! Typically the black wires on Fender components are signal ground, which carries throughout the entire pickguard wiring scheme. You can double-check wiring by taking a look at the Fender supoort site at http://www.fender.com/support/wiring_diagrams_parts_lists.php , and picking any of the Deluxe series. Best regards, Dana
