fender classic strat

gibson sg classic?
basically heres the story… ive been playing acoustic guitar for about 4 years now and ive had this New York Pro 120$ copy of a fender strat as just a practice electric guitar. now the opportunity as arisen that a gibson sg classic has been available to me for $775. i don’t know what to do because i have learned that it has a more bluesy sound and it really hums alot. i plan on playing live and recording, mostly soft rock and rock……what should i do????
I personally am not a fan of the SG’s, I feel the strings sit to far from the neck. You need to play around and feel out what guitar is right for your playing style. And yeah, you are right about them having a more bluesy sound to them but that also goes hand in hand with the person’s playing style.
