Ibanez RG370DX – a single coil (middle) pickup gets in the way?
I used to play on Fender Start (which was my first electric) and then Ibanez RG370DX is a gift. It has two humbuckers and a single coil pickup in the middle. The pills are created as there are quite high and three of them, there is little space between. Therefore, my selection often hits the pads and, frankly, that's a bit annoying. I wonder if that is my technique that is not consistent (for example, I move my hand down along the strings and therefore do not always play exactly in that tiny spot between trucks), or is it something you just have to get used to, or that is in fact a handicap of three Installation pills (and why many players use Les Paul classic rock that has two trucks with plenty of space in between).
Use the screws on the side of lowering pills more pills in the body of the guitar. This has several advantages. First – is less likely to hit the pads. Second – get a better guitar tone. In third place – his guitar better support. Fourth – he will remain in tune better. The disadvantage is that you will lose some output power so you may need to turn the amplifier to a contact. All this is due to the interaction of magnetic field in pads with the strings. The closer to the strings is the van, more energy is transferred from the chain to the truck, and the more the magnetic field affects the vibration of the string.
