What Bass For Classic Rock?

What bass should i buy for playing classic Rock? Fender Jazz or Precision?

P.S. I play alot of Rush, The Who, Zeppelin, Ramones and Aerosmith

-thanks

I do know Geddy Lee used a Rotosound Swing Bass back in the sixties, and in there newer stuff has been using a Fender Jazz bass.
But Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith started out using a Fender Precision.
So if you wanted to sound more Rush then go for the Jazz, but if you want to get closer to a Aerosmith sound go for the Precision.

If your just starting out, (been playing for less than a year and a half) your best bet is playing the Precision. It is a lot easyer to start out on.
But if you feel like you can handle a Jazz bass. Go for it.

Okay, I don’t give a crap about Rush.
I just wanted my two points.

Honestly, I say get a 1976 Rickenbacker 4001.
