Hi, James! For changing the pickups, please see http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhNVNoCayylKqC1Hz0kscbrty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20081114082743AAni9cl ; for the pickguard, just add steps 4 and 5 from http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArLSVfhcEba.9Bt5O12f153ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20081009180743AAqI8tK&show=7#profile-info-t49TJNBQaa . Just take your time, and you should have no problems completing this modification. As far as placing a humbucker in the bridge, that is simple enough if you pick one with a single-coil footprint. Seymour-Duncan, Fender, and Dimarzio are just a few of the manufacturers that have this type of pickup available. Depending on how your Stratocaster is routed, a full-size humbucker may not fit without enlarging the body cavity. Hope this helps. Best regards, Dana
