fender champ reverb
how can i get a good pop punk sound?

I’ve been playing guitar for about 9 months now and i was wondering how to get a good pop punk sound like we the kings and all time low.

I have a schecter omen 6 diamond series for my guitar and a fender champ 25 (tube amp) which overdrives great and i also have the fender reverb pedal that came with the amp.

is there any pedals they use or is it a better guitar or could i swap my pickups out for better ones if so any suggestions

Start off by getting some kind of a stompbox like this one http://www.guitarcenter.com/Boss-DS-1-Distortion-Pedal-100086787-i1124466.gc to get a more distorted sound. That should do it if you don’t want to spend a whole lot.

But to go the extra mile, you could change your pickups to something like this. http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gibson-P94T-Humbucker-Sized-P90-Bridge-Pickup-306913-i1128107.gc
Then you could get a chorus, volume and delay pedal like these.

Hope this helped. My friend Pete K sent this question to me.
