History
Fender Stratocaster guitar was invented in 1954 by Leo Fender and others in California. Leo had already created the successful Telecaster guitar.
Main
The Stratocaster, or Start and it is sometimes known, is a double cutaway guitar. A cut is bleeding or scallop in the guitar body where the neck joins the body. Since the Stratocaster is a double cut, is a cut above and below the neck as the body. This cut provides space for guitarist hand moves when playing the notes of "high" in the neck. By having a double cut the thumb of the player can grab the neck area, while that above the other fingers play in the lower court. The body of the Stratocaster is soft, rounded corners, flowing. Fender body design called a "Comfort Body Contouring. "
Neck
The Stratocaster has a maple neck one piece with twenty frets. Later, a tuning fork Rosewood was used. Today the home is available in maple and rosewood fingerboard models.
Bridge
Defense uses a set of springs on the bridge that allows you to float with the pull of the strings. Connecting a tremolo arm on the bridge, you can move up or down to increase or lower the pitch of the notes he was playing. Some players do not care about this feature of the Stratocaster and off, but nonetheless, it was a design innovative.
Pickup
The Stratocaster has three single-coil pickups, unlike the double spiral "humbucking" pickups found in some other guitars such as Gibson. The closest to the bridge pickup is mounted in a tilted position. The Stratocaster was a three-position switch select the pills. The first players found they could turn the switch between the positions of a distinctive sound interesting. Later, Fender added a Five-position switch to facilitate this adjustment. This interesting sound has become a hallmark of the Stratocaster guitar. Musicians and later Fender also experimented with other combinations of pills in the beginning, including the use of pills or double coil humbucker.
Finish
The Strats first ended in a two-color sunlight. Since then, the home has been painted in a variety of colors and finishes. Fender used automotive paints type and color and the beginning is often seen in these colors.
Corporate History
CBS went on a buying spree and bought Fender in 1965. They also purchased Steinway, the famous manufacturer of pianos, organs, Rodgers, Rogers battery, the speaker manufacturer Leslie (Best known for being paired with Hammond organ), and others. The general consensus is that the quality of Fender instruments suffered a lot during this time due to cost cutting measures. Through of the years, Fender exported or licensed manufacturing in other countries Stratocasters. There was also a guitar line that included creation called Squier the Stratocaster. Squier line was cheaper models designed for entry level or student guitarists. In 1985, led by Bill Schulz Fender completed a purchase of CBS. Schulz is generally credited with saving by restoring Fender quality.
Future
Fender prospered. The future looks bright. And today there are numerous models of American Standard Stratocaster Fender are available in various price ranges.
