fender blues jr tubes

How can I get a good country tone out of my electric guitar?
I’m playing a Fender Strat through a Fender Blues Jr. amp. I would like to get both twangy clean and dirty sounds, and was wondering what types of effects (compression?, tube screamer?) would get me a good country tone.
Also what are good levels to set the amp at for treble, mids, and bass?
I’m talking about a more modern country tone.
MXR dyna comp, use lots of reverb with the pickup selector in the 1st position, maybe a little short delay for your clean sound. Switch to pickup 2nd position (1st and 2nd pickups together) and a tube screamer for dirtier sounds. Or just get a Digitech RP 200 which has a killer blackface fender simulation, great marshall simulations for rock type stuff and a boutique amp simulation for that Keith Urban tone. It has all the effects you’ll ever need and you can use the whammy pedal effect with the footpedal for neat steel guitar licks.
