fender blues deville tubes
Vox valvetronix 100 watts or fender hotrod deville 60 watts?

I cant decide between a vox adtv 100 or a real tube like a fender or a peavey ….i play blues most of the times and i wonder if the vox would be good for me…also is 50ish watt real tube amp loud enough for medium size bars….. thank you….

The Hot Rod DeVIlle is fabulous and it’s 60 Watts into 4 Tens, I have one. It’s a hybrid Tube and solid state amp though and has better distortion than alot of Fender amps.
The best amp you can get to play blues is a fender super reverb 60W into 4 Tens with clean clean clean tone – then get a BK Butler Tube Driver and run that into the Fender. You’ll have exactly the tone you need.

Vox amps are nice, now that they’re back in business, and I have owned a couple of old original ones, but the tone you need is in the fender.

Good Luck.
