Multi Effect processor vs Fender Hot Rod Deville plus Metal Zone?

‘m Towards the Fender and Boss BUT i already bought a huge warranty on my pod that Im not sure is returnable and the Fender Is used (Craigslist) and will probably have to get Boss second hand. I do have a Backup rig though. What do you guys think? I like my pod but i don’t love it. Its muddy. Sometimes it feels like my tone is dead. Some times i can a pretty good sound out of it but not perfect. I play Metallica AC/DC want to play Eric Clapton blues, Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy, John Mayer , Guns N Roses, Pantera and the list keeps growing haha =)
I really only need a good metal and clean sound

the reason you don’t favor your POD that much is because it is Digital….all line6 products sound horrible to me. They are very Steril and non musical sounding for my tastes i had one and got rid of it fast
while im not a huge fan of anything by Fender it at least has tubes and will sound much better than that modeling crap
call me old but i’ll take tubes first and solid state second it all ends there
thus The fender and Boss will kill that POD. it may not offer as many sounds but do you use them all anyway?
